Can you make me do things I don’t want to do?

No. You will be treated with the utmost respect. It is a very relaxing process where you will be comfortable and in complete control

What does hypnosis feel like?

Hypnosis or Trance is a very relaxed state of mind and body. You are deeply relaxed and calm as your mind is more responsive to suggestion. You are completely aware of everything that is happening. It is similar to daydreaming or drifting off to sleep. We go into trance many times a day whilst driving, watching TV or going out for a run.

How many sessions will I need?

We initially recommend 8 to 12 sessions, but everyone is different. For smoking it is a one off 2 hour session and for phobias and fears 4 sessions.

What will happen in a session?

To begin with, I will explain how the brain works, why you feel the way you do and what we can do about it. In subsequent sessions, we discuss the positive things in your life and look at how you would like to feel and then trance

Is it safe?

Yes. You will be in control throughout the process.

Is the therapy confidential?

Yes. I work in accordance with the guidelines set out by the National Council of Hypnotherapy (NCH) to which their members are bound by a strict code of practise.

Should I see my doctor before visiting you?

If you feel that any issues you may be experiencing physically or mentally could effect your hypnosis, then you should consult your doctor.
